Level Marketing Strategy – Balancing Business Success
Do you feel your business suffers from odd sales cycles? Does your business seem to come in waves? The problem may not be the business cycle, but your selling cycle.
With fewer resources, small business people are forced to wear more hats. We are the sales manager, scheduler, and chief doer of all tasks. Therein lies the challenge… If you look closely at your operation, you may notice this cycle.
1 – You get out and meet people
2- You close deals
3 – You do the work
Sounds fine, except, while you are doing the work, how are you managing your sales. On the other hand, while you are out selling, how are you balancing the work.
Level Marketing
…is a process of balancing sales, management and technical functions. While your technical functions may involve doing repetitive tasks, this system provides accountability for balancing your work day such that you eliminate the down cycles in your business sales process.
Level 1 – income activities
Level 1 activities have a direct connection to generating income for your business. Do not confuse level 1 with “doing” the work, this is the process of selling
Level 2 – indirect income activities
Level 2 activities are those that generate new prospects
Level 3 – task activities
A.K.A – The work you do for your customers
On the surface, the Level Marketing System is a prioritization system for your daily scheduling. The key to Level Marketing is the scoring / accountability.
At the end of your day:
- for every Level 1 activity you complete, give yourself 10 points
- for every Level 2 activity you complete, give yourself 5 points
- for every Level 3 activity you complete, give yourself 1 point
Total your daily score and at the end of your week total your week’s activity. Our suggestion is you start with a 75 point week goal.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be exploring different Level 1, 2 & 3 activities to help you better prioritize your daily schedule. Your mission, as a business owner, should be to:
Meet more people every day and growing your business network of friends and references.
